Sand and Gravel for Construction

Construction aggregates commonly consist of locally sourced sands and gravels, each product has been graded into different sizes to perform various functions within the construction industry. The most common sands are building and sharp.Building sand is finer than sharp sand and is most commonly used for the making of mortars for building. Sharp sand is most commonly used in the making of concrete and as a surface layer in paving systems. Gravels can be used for many purposes but to most of us we see them on paths and driveways. Again crushed stone is used in many surface preparations and most commonly is an excellent sub base for paving and driveways.
