Driveway extension for larger garage and greater parking area

Date: March 2011

Our Dundee clients were redeveloping their garden and grounds. Part of the renovation was to replace the garage with a larger version and extend the parking area within the grounds.
We proposed taking away a section of the garden with new retaining walls and access steps harled to blend with the house. Opening of the driveway entrance had been a client request along with bringing the levels of the entrance and the driveway to an acceptable standard.

The project was not without it's problems,an old property, sloping both with the land and below the road level, we soon encountered and burst a gas service pipe which was barely under the surface of the drive. This was quickly and professionally dealt with at no expense to the client and led to only a slight delay in progress.

The surface chosen by the client was Paving block from Stonemarkets range of Pavilion Pavers, random laid in 6 sizes providing a rustic and non uniform look, in keeping with the property and it's surroundings.

All in all our client although concerned at various junctures during the works was very pleased with the finished driveway.
